Yarn: Two different long color-changing yarns (Sample uses Roll With It Melange which has 389yds per ball…See alt suggestions below).

- Creates a fabric that’s slightly bulky (not super bulky)
Gauge for Knitting:
Aim for 3.25 sts per inch. But you could be as small as 3.5 sts per inch or as large as 3 sts per inch and the piece would still work. Just plan accordingly for the yarn amount needed!

Game Day Mystery Make-Along 2026 Prizes

The MVP giveaways were part of the live 2026 event — a fun tradition we plan to bring back in future Game Day events.
Our “referees” (the Marly’s Minion Modmins) will nominate “players” (YOU!) for six specific categories listed below. Each of these players will get 1 free product of choice from the Marly Bird House!!
- Sportsmanlike Conduct – answering others’ questions and generally being helpful
- The Cheerleader – someone who is going above and beyond to encourage other “players” and boost morale
- The Flash – someone who finishes so quickly they make MULTIPLE projects
- The Underdog – this person faces setbacks but continues to persevere
- The Rookie – someone who is new to the craft they chose (knit or crochet) and shows up and works hard to finish
- MVP – this is the player who essentially embodies it all – helpfulness, efficiency, kindness, and morale boosting

Do I have to watch football to participate?
Absolutely not! So many participants are there purely for the crafting community and the fun of a mystery project.
