Get your knitting needles and crochet hooks ready for a thrilling adventure! We’re not telling you what you’ll be making – that’s the mystery! Every other hour, beginning at 9 am EST, you’ll get a new play with instructions for a super-secret project designed by Marly Bird and Robyn Chachula. The final reveal will be just in time for the Super Bowl, so you can show off your new creation!

Game Day Mystery Make-Along 2025 Prizes

Our “referees” (the Marly’s Minion Modmins) will nominate “players” (YOU!) for six specific categories listed below. Each of these players will get 1 free product of choice from the Marly Bird House!!

- The Cheerleader – someone who is going above and beyond to encourage other “players” and boost morale
- The Flash – someone who finishes so quickly they make MULTIPLE projects

How is the 2025 event different from the 2026 Game Day Make-Along?
Each year’s Game Day features a different pattern and sometimes different participating hosts. The core format stays the same… Super Bowl Sunday, free, mystery reveal, both knit and crochet versions, community vibes. The specific project changes year to year. If you participated in 2025 and loved it, 2026 brings a fresh new pattern. If you missed 2025, there’s a whole new Game Day experience waiting in February 2026. Both years’ patterns are available for making at any time!
Do I have to watch football to participate in Game Day events?
Not one bit! The “game day” theme is more of a fun framing for a day-long crafting event that falls on Super Bowl Sunday. Plenty of participants spend the day with their craft and completely ignore the game. Others stitch during the commercials. Some watch the game and craft simultaneously. The event is about the community of crafters coming together for a shared making experience… football is just the occasion, not the requirement. You’re there for the yarn, not the yardage.

I am excited to join in this years Game Day Mystery Make Along. I joined last years Game Day and enjoyed it immensely. I was so excited to learn that special Game Day Tags were available for purchase. I purchased one to commemorate the day.
You mentioned on your Game Day video for this year that game day tags may not be a thing this year. I would love to see a Game Day tag for this year. I believe it makes it extra special.
This my first time and I am on Team Crochet. My question/problem is this starts during church time. Do I have to begin at that time or can I just get started when I am able to?
