U.S. 10 [6 mm] 16” [40 cm] or 24” [61 cm] circular needles, and set of 5 double pointed needles or size required for gauge.

SPECIAL STITCHES
⭐ Slip, Slip, Knit (Ssk): Slip 2 stitches, one at a time, as if to knit. Insert left needle into the front of these 2 stitches and knit them together from this position – 1 stitch decreased.
⭐ Slip, Slip, Slip, Knit (Sssk): Slip 3 stitches, one at a time, as if to knit. Insert left needle into the front of these 3 stitches and knit them together from this position – 2 stitches decreased.
PATTERN STITCHES
P1 x K1 Rib
Worked in the round over an even number of sts.
Every Round: * P1, k1; repeat from * around.
Broken Rib (circular)
Worked in the round over an even number of sts.
Round 1: Knit.
Round 2: * P1, k1; repeat from * around.
Repeat the last 2 rounds for Broken Rib (circular).
Broken Rib (flat)
Worked back and forth in rows over an odd number of sts (minimum of 7 sts).
Row 1 (RS): Knit
Row 2 (WS): P2, * k1, p1; repeat from * to last st, p1.
Repeat the last 2 rounds for Broken Rib (flat).
NOTES
- Both yarns are held together and used as one for the entire piece.
- Piece is worked from the bottom up, starting in the round, then worked back and forth in rows for remainder of piece
