If you’re looking for crochet and knit books to make shawls, then this is one to pre-order.
If you enjoy knitting socks, then you might have noticed this book on our 2021 list. However, the paperback version comes out in early 2022, so we wanted to include it here as well.

Knot Again (Real Men Knit series)
The premise of this novel is that a fireman does a charity calendar to raise money for his family’s knitting business. Trying to get away from the celebrity recognition it ends up causing, he goes to knit in an all-night laundromat. A little girl takes an interest in his knitting, and he realizes that her mother is his old childhood crush. It’s a knitting love story set in a laundromat. How fun!
In this knitting mystery novel, a yarn store owner decides to open a booth at a local market. However, she quickly learns that the previous booth tenant was murdered. A knitting murder mystery ensues. This book is part of a series.
Knitting Children’s Books
There are both crochet and knit books in the fiction category. In addition to mysteries and other novels, there are also children’s books about crafting.
Another form of fiction crochet and knit books is children’s books. In this one, Granny Fuzz narrates the story of a knitting superhero called Iron Purl who comes to the rescue in a range of different adventures.
This knitting children’s book looks so cute. A boy and his grandmother are sitting and knitting and waiting. They do other things, but mostly they knit. And then finally at the end, the parents arrive, with a new family member, and we discover what they’ve been knitting.
In this children’s book, the family is a bit annoyed that granny is knitting throughout their vacation. However, her knitting seems to come to the rescue in the end.
This is a children’s book honoring the fifth anniversary of the Women’s March. A young girl learn to knit with her grandmother while also beginning to learn the history of women’s rights.

Sometimes a book just doesn’t fall into any specific category. That makes it unique, special, and definitely something to pre-order for your craft library.
This has to go be among the most unique new crochet and knit books. It’s knitting instruction with more than 20 knit patterns. However, it’s written in comic book style. Amazon explains that it’s “designed to mimic a bound collection of comic books in a series: each “issue” with its own cover and wry theme—from yarn stashes to binge knitting—that is close to the heart of knitters.
