Knit Beginner Shawl:

Beginner knitters will love this shawl pattern. Most of the work is done by the long color changes of the Colorscape yarn. Colorscape is a newer yarn from Red Heart that bring softness with beautiful color to your next project. If you haven’t heard of this year before you can check out my review to see why I am loving it so much.

When you are starting out in knitting, or any project, it is always valuable to have someone walk through the pattern with you. In this video tutorial I will work with you from start to finish to complete this shawl pattern.

Learn how to do simple knit stitches that you need to know in order to make this pattern. How to do the knit stitch, how to do the knit front and back (kfb), how to do the center double decrease (cdd — decreases two stitches), how to do the slip slip knit (ssk), how to do the knit 2 together (k2tog).

This pattern recommends a size 10 needle and I suggest using circular needles to accommodate the number of stitches you will have on your needle.

This video shows you how to do the stitches in the English style and Continental style of knitting.
