The craft world is so lucky to have so many new crochet books come out each year. (Knitting books, too, of course, but we have another post about those!) There are some terrific small publishers that focus entirely on crafts. Therefore, they do an awesome job of putting together creative, original, informative new crochet books filled with patterns, instructions, tips, and even life lessons. 2021’s new crochet books were no exception. Lots of terrific titles came out this year. Add them to your Christmas wish list, buy them as a gift for another crocheter, or bookmark them in case you get an Amazon gift card in your stocking this year.

A Modern Guide to Textured Crochet: A Collection of Wonderfully Tactile Stitches

This looks like it will be a sort of stitch dictionary for all of the textured stitches. It will show you how to make things like clusters and bobbles and popcorn stitches.

Author Kristi Simpson has more than three dozen books to her name. Check her out on Amazon. She’s done a lot of work with amigurumi books and books about stuffed animals. Therefore, she’s a great author to learn from. Dress-Up Amigurumi: Make 4 Huggable Characters with 25 Outfits 

This is a really cute idea. You’ll find patterns for four different amigurumi animals. Then you’ll find patterns for twenty five different crochet outfits that they can wear. If you make every pattern in the book, you’ll create a wonderful toy set for a child to adore.

Crochet Cuties

Subtitled: Patterns for 24 dolls and 60 clothes and accessories. That’s right – you don’t just get crochet doll patterns. Additionally, you get the patterns to make clothes and accessories for those dolls. I bet we could make some cute gifts using this crochet book.

Amigurumi Crochet: Farm and Forest Animals

This author has done some great collections of amigurumi crochet animal patterns in the past. This newest of her amigurumi books, featuring a combination of farm animals and forest animals, looks like it will be pretty cute, too. Kristen Rask is another good author to check out on Amazon.

Pokemon Crochet

If you love Pokemon – or have someone in your life who does – then you’ll want to make all 20 of the Pokemon crochet patterns in this new book. This is one of the most popular Amazon crafter books this year.
