I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast. I’m not sure how my kids feel about me walking around singing “just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down” over and over again. Jacqueline just HAD to say “Mary Poppins” didn’t she? haha
I am excited to try Soak wash. I’m fairly new to using wool and alpaca and knitting more than just plain garter stitch wash rags and scarfs so I’m excited to not only emerge myself in a more difficult patterns, but to try nicer yarns as well! Finding out about a product to care for my work couldn’t have happened at a better time!
Hello Samantha! Lucky you! Your the randomly chosen winner of the wonderful prize from SOAK! I just sent you an email. Please be sure to reply back to me with your 411 🙂 xoxo

I wonder if Mary Poppins would sing this while soaking her knits?
Just a, tablespoon of SOAK will make your knitting feel great, your knitting feel great, your knitting feel great. Just a spoonful of tablespoon of SOAK will make your knitting feel great, in a most delightful way!
Gret show, as always Marly ;o)
What a funny coincidence – I used soak for the first time just a few days ago! What a great product, and so easy to use! Even Mary Poppins could use it to wash her knits! I also saw a few of the gift boxes on display at a yarn store in Moncton, New-Brunswick a few weeks ago, and thought they were absolutely brilliant!!
Thanks for a fun podcast!
I love soak products and hope to try the new scents and hand products. Love as Mary Poppins does the foot soak product. Thanks Marly for the wonderful podcast.
I am truly amazed that everyone has been able to work Mary Poppins so easily into their comments! Great show as always!
And now…now I will whistle Mary Poppins songs all day long. It’s really freaking out the cats.
I love soak, though I must admit I’m sad to hear unleash is going away. I may have to snag an extra bottle or two to tide me over.
Mary Popppins surely would use Soak! It’s great! Enjoy your show.
Loved the podcast. Maybe the next soak scent will be named Mary Poppins!
Supercalafragalisticexpialadocious. Even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious, Mary Poppins would need to wash her knits. I listened to your podcast for the first time today – very very good work, thank you! Soak Wash sounds like a great product which I would like to try. Thanks for the giveaway and the podcast.
I enjoyed the podcast and did you all see the opening ceramony of the Olympics with all the Mary Poppins?
Great show Marly. I love hearing about Soak. I think I could really use the Carrie and Phil containers. I’ve only used Soak samples. I need a BIG bottle of it.
I wonder how you felt when you saw all those Mary Poppins floating down from the sky at the opening ceremonies this month! When you say Mary Poppins I think Chim-chimeny, Chim-chimeny !
Cheers!
I liked hearing all about the Soak company. And I had to laugh when she talked about meeting her friend at a Mary Poppins play, my best friend and I love the musical.
My bottle of Soak is almost empty and I need to re-plenish to gear up for winter. 🙂 Mary Poppins, can you hook a girl up?
So what makes Soak stand out? First, it’s reasonably priced from $1.25 – $16 for a variety of sizes, including convenient travel sizes. You could use these to wash clothes in hotel rooms when you’re on the road. Secondly, the packaging is really pretty and Soak comes in several delish scents like citrus, aquae, flora, as well as scentless (if that’s how you roll). Because of these luxe touches, you could give Soak as a gift (can’t give Woolite to a girlfriend as a gift, that would be kinda strange). Finally, Soak is NOT organic or all-natural, but their site says it’s made from a biodegradable formulation that uses no dyes or harsh ingredients, and is phosphate free. The products are also packaged in recyclable bottles and printed with a water-based ink. Definite plus. The only downside is that while Soak is sold online and at over 800 retailers, you can’t find it at your local drugstore (yet), so you may have to go a little out of your way to purchase this product. However, I did a quick search of stores where Soak is sold near me and was shocked at how many cute little shops and boutiques sell it, including the yarn shop that’s less than a mile from my house. (Makes sense, seeing as how Soak’s creator originally designed the product with knitters in mind.) So my excuse that shopping for Soak would take me out of my way doesn’t really hold up, now does it? Oh, and if, like my mother, you are suspicious of things that don’t require rinsing, you can rinse out the soak, but according to the company all you’re doing is getting rid of the fragrance. Any remaining Soak evaporates from the garment, their site says. The Verdict: If Soak was sold at my local Target, I’d pick it up in a heartbeat! I’d also consider giving Soak as a gift this holiday season to friends and family who are tough to please. Best price online: Soak Wash Cleanser , $10.49 for a 14 oz. bottle at Target.com How do YOU keep your delicates fresh and clean? What are your fave cleansers?
We pinned down Fiona Ellis, the woman behind the designs of our mitts, and recorded a video for each of the patterns. Fiona has graciously offered to drop in via Skype to yarn shops and groups that are doing their own knit-a-longs and Soakbox events.
