FIRST FALL WEEKENDER PATTERN — Lesson Three

BODY OF BAG Continued

Continue using the tapestry colorwork technique, work the body of the bag following the chart for the body through chart.

Notes for Body of Bag Chart:

  • Chart begins at corner marked stitch of short edge of base.
  • Work each row of the chart twice for one full round.
  • Each round of the body of the bag is worked in half double crochets.
  • Each round ends by joining with a slip stitch to the first hdc, ch 1 and turn to begin the next round.
  • Personal Note — don’t over think any of this, you want to have the corners to have 3 sts in color B

Next Round: Continue in hdc following the color changes around the bag following the next row of the chart [work row of chart 2 times total], join with a slip stitch to first hdc, ch 1, turn.

Repeat last round through round 21 of chart.

Fasten Off

Tuck in ends.

I did take some progress pictures as I was working on this section. If you want to get an idea of how the bag should look this far, check these out. I have two decorative pillow stuffed inside the bag to give it some shape.
