POUR DECISIONS CROCHET WINE COZY PATTERN
Base
Ch 6, sl st to first st, do not turn throughout.
Round 1: 18 sc in ring, join to first sc with sl st — 18 sc.
Round 2: Stacked Dc in sc, 2 dc in same stitch, * ch 4, skip 2 sc, 3 dc in next sc; repeat from * four more times, ch 4, join to first dc with sl st — 6 groups of 3 dc (18 dc total).
Round 3: Sl st in next dc, (stacked dc, dc, ch 4, 2 dc) in same dc, *ch 4, skip 2 dc and working into the middle of the next 3-dc group, (2 dc, ch 4, 2 dc) in next dc; repeat from * four more times, ending with ch 2, dc in first dc to complete final ch-4 space — 24 dc.
Body
Rounds 4-22: Ch 1, sc around post of last dc made in previous round, *ch 4, sc in next ch-4 space; repeat from * 10 more times, ch 2, dc in first sc — 12 sc.
Add Strap
Step 1 — Cut Your Leather Strap: Cut a piece of leather measuring 11″ [28 cm] long — or adjust the length if you want a slightly longer or shorter strap.
Step 2 — Mark Your Hole Placement (First End): From one short end of the strap, measure ½” [1.3 cm] up. Then measure ½” [1.3 cm] in from the long edge and make a mark. From that mark, measure another ½” [1.3 cm] up and make a second mark. You should now have two marks stacked vertically near the end of your strap.
Step 3 — Punch Holes: Grab your leather hole punch and make holes at each marked spot.
Step 4 — Repeat on the Other End: Do the exact same thing on the opposite end of your strap so everything lines up nicely.
Step 5 — Attach the Strap: Place the strap onto the trim of your cozy. Position strap evenly on opposite sides of cozy and add the rivet through the trim portion of the cozy.
