We have an extra day in the year so let’s spend it together knitting and crocheting a project for ourselves! This is a fun Leap Day Mystery Make-Along hosted by Marly Bird with guest, Tamara Kelly of Moogly Blog!

First of all, let me say that both patterns will remain FREE on Moogly and this website. You can get the links to the free version (keep scrolling to the bottom of this post) or you can purchase an Ad FREE PDF of both patterns.

Leap Day Make-along Details

  • The project we are making is a wearable. It isn’t as big as the Turkey Trot project but similar.
  • The clues will be given every two hours.
  • Tamara Kelly of Moogly Blog designed the crochet piece.
  • Marly Bird designed the knitting piece.
  • Both the crochet and knit pieces resemble one another.

    • Bernat Softee Chunky: Ball Size Solids: 100g / 3.5 oz, 99 meters / 108 yards;
      • Color A: 108 yds — All Sizes
      • Color B: 216 (216, 216, 324, 324, 324, 432, 432, 432) yds
  • Hook
    • 12 mm
  • Notions
    • Stitch Markers, Tapestry needle

Knitting Version

  • Sizes

When Does It Start?

Feb. 29, 2020: Clues will be given at 9am, 11, am, 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm EST.

For this make-along we are giving you two hours for each clue. That does not mean that you will need all two hours to complete each section. We know that the Game Day was a HUGE event and wanted to give you a little more breathing room with this event.

How to Participate

This page is where you will need to come for each clue. At the start of each clue hour I will update the information below with the new link. Each link will take you to a page with that section of the pattern.

Join the Marly’s Minions on Facebook and you can post your pictures there, get updates, and chat along with everyone else that is making the project!

Knitting 11am <– Click Here! If you printed this pattern prior to 12:30pm 1-29-2-, please get the revised version. There was a fix in the sleeve count for the larger size when adding markers for the raglan.
