Frequently Asked Questions

I’m new to colorwork, where should I start with these golf club covers?

Oh, great question! If you’re just dipping your toes into colorwork, I’d suggest starting with the simple striped covers first. Once you’ve got the hang of that… you’ll be ready for the more detailed Fair Isle pattern. You’ll be a pro in no time!

What size are the finished golf club covers?

Honestly, they’re a pretty good size for most clubs! The finished measurements are 15 inches long and 4 inches wide. They’re designed to fit nicely and protect your clubs.

Can I really make all three patterns with just one skein of each color?

Yes! The pattern calls for one skein of Sockalicious yarn in each of the specified colors (A, B, C, D, and E). That’s enough to make all three different cover styles.

The pattern says “Intermediate” skill level, but I’m a bit newer to knitting. Is it too hard?

Here’s the thing… the skill level is listed as Intermediate, but the page mentions that if you’re new to colorwork, you can start with the simple stripes. So, don’t be too scared! Just take your time and enjoy the process.

What kind of yarn do you recommend for these covers?

So glad you asked! The pattern specifically calls for Kollage Yarns’ Sockalicious, which is a lovely blend of merino wool, nylon, and silk. It gives a nice drape and durability for the covers.
