To start off 2018 I designed a crochet shawl pattern, the Lime Verbena Shawl. Worked up in one of Red Heart’s new yarns with a easy stitch pattern I am sure that you will love this cozy shawl for your cold winter months.

Brightly colored yarn skeins in various shades, featuring textured patterns and blends, perfect for knitting or crochet proje

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I find the FREE Lime Verbena Shawl pattern?

So here’s the thing… to get the FREE Lime Verbena Shawl pattern, you just need to head over to my FREE Crochet Patterns section on the site. You’ll be able to read all about how I designed it and grab the full pattern there!

How is the shawl constructed?

Honestly… the shawl is worked up widthwise, from corner to corner. We’re working the stitches in the back loop only, and there are increases worked on every right side row up to the center… then decreases on the wrong side rows to the end.

What yarn was originally used for this shawl?

Yes! The original pattern used Red Heart’s Hopscotch yarn, but sadly… it’s been discontinued. Don’t worry though, I’ve got some great suggestions like Brava Tweed, Chroma Twist, and Heatherly Worsted from WeCrochet that would look amazing!

Can I get an ad-free version of this pattern?

You bet! If you prefer a pattern without any ads, you can totally purchase an ad-free version over in my Ravelry store. It makes it super handy to keep all your patterns in one place too!

I’m not sure about the yarn used… are there other shawl patterns you’d recommend?

Oh, absolutely! If you’re looking for another fun shawl project, I have a video tutorial for the Lafayette Chic Shawl on my YouTube channel. And if you’re feeling a bit BiCrafty… I also have a super beginner-friendly knitting shawl pattern called the Long and Stripy Beginner Shawl!
