MEASUREMENTS

To Fit Size

S (M, L, XL) — to keep this a mystery- all we will say is this project makes a great gift- so when picking a size (ok, let’s be honest, guessing a size)- think about the recipient, how big are they?  Would you say they are a pigeon, cornish hen, chicken, or Thanksgiving turkey in size?

Finished Measurements

Day 1: Turkey Trot is 8 (9, 10, 11)” [20.5, 23, 25.5, 28 cm] wide by 3” [7.5 cm] long.

Day 2: This section adds 5.5 (6.5, 7.5, 8.75)”[14, 16.5, 19, 22 cm] in length and is 4 (4.5, 5, 5.5)” [10, 11.5, 12.5, 14 cm] in width

Gauge

16 sts x 16 rows = 4” [10 cm] x 4.25” [11 cm]; use any size hook to obtain the gauge. Use Day 1 stitch pattern for gauge.  Meaning 1 row of hdc alternating with 1 row of sc in 3rd loop for gauge.

Optional: Sl st Embroidery

Note: See color chart for assistance on layout out color.

First Column: Join color B between 2nd and 3rd st of foundation, hold working yarn on WS, *insert hook from front to back between same stitches 1 row up, yarn over, pull loop up to RS of fabric and through loop on hook; repeat from * up fabric. See color diagram for placement of sl st embroidery column.  Repeat across project.  Fasten off and weave in all ends.  (yes, all ends, this will take some time and better to do it now. )
