Turkey Trot 2021 Crochet Day 1

The turkey has been eaten, the pie has been served, and it is time to relax and start the TURKEY TROT MYSTERY AKE ALONG 2021! Here you will find the instructions for crochet day 1.

Good luck and enjoy the process.

To Fit Size

S (M, L, XL) — to keep this a mystery- all we will say is this project makes a great gift- so when picking a size (ok, let’s be honest, guessing a size)- think about the recipient, how big are they?  Would you say they are a pigeon, cornish hen, chicken, or Thanksgiving turkey in size?

Finished Measurements

Day 1: Turkey Trot is 8 (9, 10, 11)” [20.5, 23, 25.5, 28 cm] wide by 3” [7.5 cm] long.

16 sts x 16 rows = 4” [10 cm] x 4.25” [11 cm]; use any size hook to obtain the gauge. Use Day 1 stitch pattern for gauge.  Meaning 1 row of hdc alternating with 1 row of sc in 3rd loop for gauge.
