One of the byproducts of our knit and crochet projects is the abundance of yarn scraps and yarn ends. Finding ways to use these ends can sometimes be a challenge. In Crochet Loom Blooms you will learn how to make flowers and projects using a loom. Use up your yarn ends or new balls of yarn to create they beautiful embellishments and patterns.

About Crochet Loom Blooms:
Crochet Loom Blooms caught my attention because of the beautiful flower motifs on the cover. Once I started to look through the book I realized that they were made from a loom. With only using a small amount of yarn these are wonderful projects for those that want to work with yarn but struggle with knitting and crochet or those that just need to work on something different.
Although this book will show you patterns to make with the beautiful loom flowers don’t forget that these are also great embellishments for cards or package toppers. Using the flower motifs in this manner make them a great stash buster.
Starting out in the book you will learn how to use the loom, what yarns to use for the best results and some simple theory on how to put colors together to make beautiful motifs. Once you learn the basics there is a section on how to read the patterns. The patterns in the book come with charts so that you can see which way to move the yarn to create the flower motif. Reading these charts is different from knitting and crochet charts so be sure to read through this section.
Although it is tempting to jump right in to using your loom and get started it is important to learn how to use the loom so that you have success. The first section of this book talks about what you will need to make the projects and how to use a loom.
You will find a starter loom (paper) in the back of the book. This will be great first your first few projects but it is only one size. Looking for a loom with multiple sizes will allow you to make more projects in the book.
I suggest getting the Clover Flower Loom. This loom has 6 shapes (circles, squares and hexagons) so that you can make all the designs in this book and more. It also has a great little cast to hold all of the looms together when you are not using them or for travel.
