It’s a Wrap Yarn:

Not too long ago Red Heart released a brand new yarn called It’s a Wrap. It’s a Wrap is a weight 1-super fine yarn. Although it is a lace weight yarn I would not call this sock yarn because most people associate sock yarn with some wool content. It’s a Wrap is made up of 50% cotton and 50% acrylic.

Yes this is a cake yarn, no it is not like anything else that is on the market. This is not Red Heart jumping on the band wagon, but rather filling a void that is in the market making the look of color blocking easier for the consumer.

For those of you who haven’t been able to get your hands on It’s a Wrap take a look at the review I did when the yarn first came out. It is available at your local box stores and as always on Red Heart’s website.

This shawl’s design is all about the yarn. The new cake yarn, It’s a Wrap™ by Red Heart Yarns® comes in so many beautiful color combinations I just could not help myself and had to design a simple shawl that would highlight the beauty of the yarn. Of course, I had to add that little something special along the edge because…hey, I’m me! This shawl is perfect anytime of year and in any climate because of the 50% cotton and 50% acrylic blend yarn. Grab a cake of yarn in your favorite color and get started on this beautiful shawl today.

    Hi Marly,
I am currently working on the Bluebonnet Shawl but I am a bit confused, I am on Row 34 right now and nowhere near being finished with even the first color. The way it looks right now I will use way less than one cake, I am not even sure if I will make to the first color change. What am I doing wrong? I counted my stitches and they are right according to the pattern. Is the shawl really only 70 rows?
Thanks so much for your help and all your beautiful patterns

I would love to make the blue bonnet shawl, but having a difficult time understanding the first 4 rows. Going on the side is confusing me. Could you make a tutorial for that. I got the pdf for free in ravelry a while ago and it doesn’t have the charts with it.Thanks so much
