About Author Megan Kreiner:

Inspired to design toys my children would enjoy, I started designing patterns in 2012 under the brand names “MK Crochet” and “MK Knits”. As of 2017, I have designed over 200 toys in both knit and crochet for various magazines, kits, and books. My latest book, “Construction Vehicles to Crochet” features a dozen chunky construction vehicle designs with fun details like tipping dumpers, working buckets and spinning platforms. When I’m not designing crochet and knitted toys on the side, I work full time as an animator at DreamWorks Animation in Glendale, CA.

I got to watch live!! We’re having a snow/ice day here in Central Texas. The kids in my second grade class love the dragon books. It was so interesting to hear how you design and the work you do to produce the animation for the dragon movies and the other ones you’ve worked on.

I loved this podcast! The toys that you make are so detailed and cute. Well, I giggled that you work for Dreamworks, but Disney contacted you to design their characters! My kids are all fans of How to Train Your Dragon, and they will be excited to hear that there is a third movie in the works.

I really like the new format of the podcast. It’s so nice to see the guest live! Too bad Megan couldn’t have shown us her crocheted dragon, that would have been fun. Learned something new as well, didn’t know about purse foam for stuffing and shaping. Such an good innovation. Stay warm everyone.
