GAUGE

13 sc and 16 sc rounds = 4” [10 cm]

US H [5 mm] or size to obtain gauge

  • Cut yarn at color change
  • Change to new color in last slip stitch of row
  • Stocking Cuff, Leg, Foot, and Toe are worked in turned rounds
  • Heel is worked in rows

Round 1 (RS): *Sc2tog in next 2 sts, sc in each of the next 6 sts; repeat from * to last st, sc in last st, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc2tog. Ch 1, turn — 43 sc. 

Round 2 (WS): Sc in first sc and in each sc around, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc. Ch 1, turn. 

Round 3 (RS):  *Sc2tog in next 2 sts, sc in each of the next 5 sts; repeat from * to last st, sc in last st, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc2tog, turn — 37 sc.

Round 4 (WS): Sc in first sc and in each sc around, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc. Ch 1, turn. 

Round 5 (RS):  *Sc2tog in next 2 sts, sc in each of the next 4 sts; repeat from * to last st, sc  in last st, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc2tog, turn — 31 sc.

Round 6 (WS): Sc in first sc and in each sc around, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc. Ch 1, turn. 

Round 7 (RS):  *Sc2tog in next 2 sts, sc in each of the next 3 sts; repeat from * to last st, sc  in last st, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc2tog, turn — 25 sc.

Round 8 (WS): Sc in first sc and in each sc around, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc. Ch 1, turn. 

Round 9 (RS):  *Sc2tog in next 2 sts, sc in each of the next 2 sts; repeat from * to last st, sc  in last st, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc2tog, turn — 19 sc.

Round 10 (WS): Sc in first sc and in each sc around, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc. Ch 1, turn. 

Round 11 (RS):  *Sc2tog in next 2 sts, sc in each of the next 1 st; repeat from * to last st, sc  in last st, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc2tog, turn — 13 sc.

Round 12 (WS): Sc in first sc and in each sc around, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc. Ch 1, turn. 

Round 13 (RS):  *Sc2tog in next 2 sts; repeat from * to last st, sc  in last st, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc2tog. Fasten off — 7 sc.

FINISHING

Sew toe of stocking closed.

Weave in all ends.

Add a chain with pom pom’s at the end for decoration.
