One Ball Crochet Shawl
For this pattern I reached out for a little help from my friends. Katelyn, my assistant, helped me make this pattern for the 24 Quickies with Marly Bird event. We both fell in love with Roll With It Tweed from Red Heart and knew that something had to be made with it.
Since we were looking for a quick crochet project we knew it should be something with open stitches. I made a pattern like this before with the filigree crochet, the Super Simple Shawl, but I used a different border and a different way to connect the piece.
Katelyn has two young kids and is always on the go with them. With lots of bending and moving a traditional shawl or scarf just doesn’t cut the bill. We played around with how to turn this simple shawl into a cowl and I think that we have found a great way.
No buttons are required for this pattern, you will simply single crochet your two sides together. Feel free to leave it open for a small shawl or work as the pattern is written for a cowl effect.
