Red Heart Super Saver Stripes

Along with being a new pattern, it is designed with a brand new yarn from Red Heart. Super Saver is now available in stripes. Super Saver Stripes does all of the color work for you. Looking at the finished project you would assume that there would be many ends to weave in but really this is done with one ball.

Don’t be discouraged by the intermediate skill level listed in the Fantastic Ripple Scarf pattern. If you know how to knit and purl I can walk you through the rest. By knowing how to knit and purl you can speed through the whole pattern once I show you row 3.

In row 3 you will work the lace portion of the pattern. When broken down lace is just a series of increased and decreases allowing you to keep the same number of stitches in each row. For this pattern you will start and end the row with decreases and in the middle you will have increases using yarn overs.

To help beginners learn the technique of these increases and decreases I put together a video tutorial for you. You can see this video below in this post or you can head to my YouTube channel to see all of the tutorials that I have.

I love this but i have searched the Red Heart website and do not see Super Saver Stripes listed anywhere. What am I missed. I love this simple scarf pattern but need to find the yarn. Can you help?

What you need to do is use this link to get you to Red Heart’s website. It will take you to the Super Saver Yarn page. You will then need to go to the list of colors that are available and there you will find the new yarn. Most of the swatch photos are shown from a ball of yarn. The new stripes yarn look more like a knit fabric of stripes so you can see the color pattern. I hope this helps! The ombre yarn is broken out into it’s own product but the stripes is included as colors of the original Super Saver yarn. Let me know if you can’t find it!
