Why Caron Cakes?

Caron Cakes became popular when they were introduced a few years ago. Instead of balls or skeins, all of these yarns are sold in the “cake” form, more commonly seen when you wind yarn yourself on a ball winder. The cake form is easy to stack on a shelf, and best of all you can pull from the center for a tangle-free experience.

All Caron Cakes have color changes, with the vast majority of them forming stripes. That means just one ball can give a striped look for a wrap or scarf!

With a dozen of “flavors” available, all in several colors, you’re certain to find the Caron Cakes version that is right for you!
