Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of yarn should I use for the pom pom projects?

So here’s the thing… the page mentions using Worsted Weight Yarn for a few of the projects, and specifically names Red Heart Soft and Red Heart Super Saver. Honestly, you can probably use whatever worsted weight yarn you have in your stash!

Do I really need a pom pom maker?

Yes! While the page says a pom pom maker is optional for some projects, I really prefer using one… it just helps make sure all your pom poms are nice and consistent in size. It makes a big difference!

Can I make these projects for a holiday party?

Oh, totally! The page lists a Candy Corn Pom Pom Wreath and a Halloween Yarn Garland that would be absolutely perfect for a fall or Halloween get-together. Wouldn’t those be super cute?

What’s the hardest project on this list?

Honestly… it’s hard to say for sure since everyone’s skill level is different. But the Fur Pom Pom Crochet Slippers might be a bit trickier if you’re not comfortable with crochet patterns. The wreaths and garlands look pretty straightforward though!

Are these projects beginner-friendly?

Well, some of them definitely are! The Ice Cream Cone Pom Pom Garland and the Halloween Yarn Garland look like they’d be great for beginners… or anyone who just wants a quick and fun project. You just need to know how to make pom poms!
