Küss Mich Holly Crochet Stocking

MEASUREMENTS
Final Measurements: Stocking is 14” [35.5 cm] in circumference by 21.5” [54.5 cm] in depth.
Gauge: 16 split sc by 14 rounds = 4” [10 cm] x 4” [10 cm]; use any size hook to obtain the gauge. Note: gauge is the pattern stitch of sc in the backloop in the round.

Yarn: Knit Picks, City Tweed DK(55% Merino Wool/25% Superfine Alpaca/20% Donegal Tweed, 123 yds/112 m, 1.75 oz/50 g, CYCA# 3 light):
Color A: #24979 Jacquard, 1 ball
Color B: #28200 Grove, 1 ball
Color C: #28195 Snowbank, 1 ball
Color D: #24983 Brocade, 1 ball
Color E: #24546 Habanero, 1 ball
Hook: G/4.5mm [US 7]

SPECIAL STITCHES
⭐️ Foundation Single Crochet (fsc):
First fsc: Ch 2, insert hook into 2nd ch from hook, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through 1 loop on hook (forming a chain), yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook (forming the single crochet)
Next fsc: Insert hook into base of previous stitch (in the “chain” space), yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through 1 loop on hook (forming a chain), yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook (forming the next single crochet). Repeat directions for desired amount of sts.
⭐️ Single Crochet 2 Together (sc2tog): *Insert hook into indicated stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop; repeat from * in next stitch indicated, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook. (1 decrease)
⭐️ Single Crochet 3 Together (sc3tog): *Insert hook into indicated stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop; repeat from * in next 2 stitches indicated, yarn over and draw through all 4 loops on hook. (2 decreases)
⭐️ Back Loop Only : This is the furthest loop to you of the top 2 loops of the stitch indicated, regardless if you are on the RS or WS.
NOTES
- Pattern is written in single crochet in the backloop throughout, unless otherwise noted.
- Stocking is worked from the cuff down the leg, then the foot and toe. Heel is added last.
- For a seamless join, remove your hook from your last stitch of the round. Thread your hook into the back loop of the first stitch of the round from the back to the front. Place the free loop back on your hook and pull through.
- Place stitch marker at beginning of each round.
- Work over all contrasting color yarn, as you would with tapestry crochet, unless otherwise noted.
PATTERN Day 1
CUFF
This pattern does not have a separate cuff. The Holly at the top of the leg acts as the cuff pattern.
LEG
With color A,
Set-Up Round: 56 fsc, seamlessly join to first sc (see notes), do not turn.
Rounds 1-45: Ch 1, sc in back loop of each st around, follow the leg chart below, changing colors as needed, seamlessly join (see notes) to first sc, do not turn.
Fasten off all colors.
