100 Knit Patterns:

100 Knits is a collection of Interweave knitting patterns over the years. Within the book you will find their most loved patterns from issues of Interweave Knits, knitscene, special holiday issues and Interweave Books. Honestly, I am not sure how they could narrow it down to only 100 patterns!

Lucy Hat by Carina Spencer

Due to the number of patterns that you will find in the book you will see that the patterns are broken out into sections. Starting off the book is a section with simple accessories. This is followed by a section of cowls, scarves and shawls and then we are into the meat of the book.

Taking up the most retail in the book is the cardigan and pull over section. This isn’t a surprise as the cardigans and sweaters that Interweave has published overtime are always stunning. Even if you aren’t going to make them, they are worth taking the time to enjoy and admire.

Finishing off the book you will find a selection of tees and tanks that are perfect for the summer and even through winter as your first layering piece. Although you may have seen some of these patterns before, if you are a collector, I am sure that you will find an array of new to you patterns to get excited about as well.

Top 5 Patterns:

Dahlia cardigan by Heather Zoppetti

Have you ever wondered what the top 5 patterns are in terms of the number of people who have made them? Interweave has included these in the book to make sure that you have the chance as well to make them.

When I first heard that this was a collection of the best patterns from Interweave I was a little skeptical. I have been collecting Interweave knitting magazines and books for the better part of five years and my library is always growing. I thought that I wouldn’t be able to find anything that was new in the book.

Opening up the book and taking a look through, there were patterns that I must have seen before but hadn’t noticed before. The way that this book is put together you really get the designer feel. This book can fall into the realm of coffee table books but one that you will actually use.
