About the Shivering Chic Crochet Shawl:

brunette lady wearing the granny stitch shawl named shivering chic shawl over her shoulders with one end draped in the front and the other end thrown over her shoulder showing how to wear a crochet shawl with tassels.

Not only is this shawl made up of six beautiful colors of Chic Sheep by Marly Bird™ yarn, but I designed it! The combination of colors is what really makes this shawl pop. Choose from the 24 colors of Chic Sheep yarn and you won’t be disappointed.

Designing this shawl I was thinking about showcasing colors and how they play together. Selecting a three double crochet sets as my stitch pattern really allows the color to be the main feature. These are often referred to as a granny set, hence the reference to the granny stitch shawl

This shawl is very easy when it comes to construction. Starting at the center back and increasing at the center and sides each row you will work down to the point of the shawl.

Finishing off the shawl I have added a large tassel to each point. Although the tassel adds movement to the shawl it is optional.

If you have worked a simple granny square before this granny stitch shawl will feel familiar. Soon, you’ll have this beautiful finished shawl. Simply start with a magic loop and work only half a granny square. Included in this tutorial I will show the way that I weave in ends, because there will be quite a few. I also show you how to make the wonderful full tassels that I have included with this project as well.
