Turkey Trot – Knitting – 2020 – Day 3
It’s okay if you are not done with Day 2 yet. Really. I am just going to pop up day 3 so it is here when you are ready. I really hope you are having fun so far with the Turkey Trot – Knitting – 2020 – Day 3!
REMINDER: What if you fall behind?
No Worries! We know that not everybody works at the same speed. And LORD KNOWS the crocheters are going to be faster than the knitters!
If you fall behind, that is absolutely okay. Just work until you are ready for the next clue and go get it. The clue will just be there waiting for you.
Think of it this way, you are letting all the speedy knitters/crocheters find all the mistakes in the patterns before you get there. LOL. (not saying there are mistakes…just trying to make a joke…but let’s hope I didn’t just jinx us!)
Where to post questions and progress pictures?
In the Marly’s Minions Group on Facebook (if you haven’t joined yet, do that now >> click here << ) there will be a dedicated thread for each day. I pin those threads in ANNOUNCEMENTS so you can easily find them.
POST YOUR QUESTIONS IN THE APPROPRIATE THREAD FOR THE DAYS CLUE YOU ARE WORKING ON!
This is very important. The testers will be checking these threads to help answer questions and it really helps them if we keep the questions for each day in the appropriate thread. I hope that makes sense. Also, the testers can be easily identified by their fb image. Each one is using a picture like this:
WE LOVE TO SEE YOUR PROGRESS!
As you finish the clue for each day (no matter if it is 3 days later) post a picture of your progress in the progress thread for the day you are working on. It really inspires all of us. Plus, it is fun to see all the different yarns getting used!
Okay, now here is your clue
Below, you will find everything you should need for this Knitting Turkey Trot 2020 – Day 3 Clue!
???? Good Luck ????

VIDEO TUTORIAL
Marly will be doing a LIVE ZOOM ON THE MARLY BIRD YOUTUBE CHANNEL to show how to go from the beauty of Day 2 clue to the instructions here for Day 3. The zoom is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm ET.
The feedback from yesterday’s LIVE DEMONSTRATION was wonderful so I am going to do it again. I figured doing it at 1:00 would give some of you time to catch up a little. Maybe even with just one of the sides by then 🙂 Really, I am trying to think of you!

Day 3
You will continue to keep each front on its own set of needles and continue to use a separate ball of yarn for each.
???? MARLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDS ADDING A LIFELINE TO YOUR WORK AS OFTEN AS YOU WISH. The lace stitches at the start can be tricky to fix so do yourself a favor and add a lifeline so you have a point to go back to should you mess up! ????

⭐️Yes, this is A LOT OF KNITTING! You will be knitting all day, I bet. ????But as I said in yesterday’s live video demonstration, I did NOT sacrifice beauty for time on this piece. I decided that knitters, even though generally slower than crocheters (that is just the nature of the two crafts), deserve an equally BEAUTIFUL piece, and believe me, this is just stunning!
So stick with it and know that it doesn’t matter when you finish, just as long as you do. See you tomorrow! >> click here to go back to main page <<
