Motif Magic:

Kristin is always keeping us on our toes with the new patterns and collections she is developing. Since Kristin lives in FL many of her patterns are light weight and perfect layering pieces. This book follows right along with her style of beautiful airy projects.

In the book you will find both knit and crochet motif projects. Motifs are a perfect way to experiment since they don’t require a lot of time or yarn invested.

Kristin took the time to work in both written and charted instructions and takes the time at the start of the book to teach you how to read the charts. Patterns in this book include flowers, circles, squares, triangles, hexagons and more. Motifs are the perfect on the go project, something that Kristin is accustom to as she goes around with her son and his tennis matches.

This new book is a beautiful collection of motif patterns that you can use for your next project. Use the motifs in the pattern as they are or as a starting point to make other accessories.

Purchase the Book:Motif Magic by Kristin Omdahl

Kristin has published many books over the past few years. Almost all of them are in my own personal library, except for Continuous Crochet but I will get that one very soon! My favorite, and one that I think you should check out, is her Seamless Crochet book. It is a great book for making motifs and joining as you work. That may sound like it is any typical join as you go method but it isn’t. Her Seamless Crochet book shows you how to join the motifs as you work them so that you have two ends to weave in at the end of your project (or two ends per ball of yarn you use). Totally worth checking out, and it includes a DVD to show you exactly how to work her technique.Kristin Omdahl Books
