This is a perfect project to stock up on and give out when you need a little gift. If you joined the live class with me you will know that we had some issues with the video being the wrong direction. I went and recorded the making of the knit dishcloth/washcloth again and loaded the video to my YouTube channel. Check out the video here along with all of the links that we talked about in the live event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I really learn to knit a dishcloth with this class?

Yes! Dishcloths are totally the best way to learn a new stitch or technique… you don’t have to commit to a huge project. This class is perfect for that! Honestly, it’s a great way to practice and make something useful or giftable.

I heard there were video issues with the live class… is the new one available?

Oh, you bet! If you joined the live class, you might remember some wonky video directions… oops! But I went ahead and re-recorded it just for you, and it’s up on my YouTube channel. You can find the link in the post!

What yarn do you recommend for this textured dishcloth?

So here’s the thing… I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream yarn for this project. It’s a classic cotton yarn that works up beautifully for dishcloths. There’s a link in the materials section if you want to snag some!

Are there links to learn the basic stitches if I’m super new?

Absolutely! We’ve got you covered. If you need a little refresher or are just starting out, there are links for slip knots, different cast-on methods, knit and purl stitches (both English and Continental styles!), and even a bind-off technique. Just scroll through the “Stitch Links” section!

What’s the best way to get the free pattern?

Honestly, the easiest way is to click the link right under the “Materials Links” heading. It’ll take you straight to Yarnspirations where you can grab the free pattern for the Lily Sugar ‘n Cream Textured Knit Dishcloth. Happy knitting!
