I guess this is whete you entet for the book. I try to always swatch and block my projects, as they come out mucj mettet if i do

  2. Suzanne says:

I bet it’s hard to swatch and block these beautiful designs when a gal is ready to cast on right away. It’s delightful to know Andrea and her husband collaborated on this book. Cheers.

  3. Heather Farley says:

I got to listen live on a day off. 🙂 I just finished a cowl and I didn’t swatch or block, but I will in the future! This book sounds amazing and I have so many ideas for embellishing my kids’ things!

  4. Linda Downs says:

I’ve always swatched, bUt have never swatched and Blocked my swatch. Will definitely swatch and block from now on.

  5. Chris Lopez says:

Excited to see this new book. I really dislike having to swatch and block which is why I love those patterns with that magic phrase, gauge is not important! Lol!

  6. Carol T says:

I love stitch dictionaries. I am looking forward to exploring this new book. I always swatch and block the garments that I knit, for sure! Thanks for another great podcast.

  7. Karen says:

Can’t wait to check out this book and will remember to swatch and block my projects. Very nice podcast, was awesome to listen to.

  8. Greg says:

What a great episode! I always especially enjoy the episodes that have a designer feel to it. I totally agree that it is important to swatch and block when checking for gauge!

  9. WallflowerGal says:

It takes discipline (for me at least!) to remember to swatch and block. I rarely do it but am starting to make a better habit of it!

  10. Laura Exberger says:

What a nice podcast, I recently discovered it and I love it! I completely agree how important is to swatch and block before starting a project. I have learned the hard way that if I don’t do it I will never get the best results on my knitted garments. Swatch and block is the best recommendation all knitters can get!

  11. Rolanda Horton says:

I really enjoyed listening to Marly & Andrea. I’ve been listening to the Podacst for a few weeks. I do not know how to Swatch & Block so this will be a great opportunity for me to learn.

  12. Julie Elliott says:

I have to admit, I generally do swatch but have never blocked, I wasn’t aware that is was that important..eeek. I enjoyed the show, and will make sure to swatch and block my next project!

  13. Linda says:

Another very interesting podcast getting to listen to Marly and Andrea. I have to admit that I have not ever done a swatch and block to check for gauge. I’m a bad knitter! My project is my swatch. If I ever decide to knit a sweater, though, I hope that I will do that.

  14. Anita says:

Switching and blocking is something I always do for sweater knitting but not for shawls, socks, or hats. That has come back to bite me but I don’t mind. I do believe all knitters would be better if we took the time to do our homework. Andrea’s story about she works with her husband was lovely and sweet.

  15. DeeAnn says:

I’m a firm adherent to swatch and block since my first sweater disaster! Great podcast and wonderful introduction to a beautiful book – I’m inspired just by looking at the cover.

  16. Bonnie says:

It was great listening to Andrea’s interview. I really need to get in the habit of doing swatch and block for my projects. Thanks for a great podcast!

  17. Vivian Isbell says:

This book sounds wonderful and would love to own it. Before beginning a project, always remember to swatch and block first.

  18. Laura says:

Swatching and blocking is so important! Especially if you are using some of the beautiful hand dyed yarn as sometimes they still let go of some color in the first bath or three. I am working on a 5 color wrap with cream, pinks and BLACK from an indie dyer and you better believe I swatched and blocked to make sure the colors were not going to bleed. Happy to report that they did not. But better to learn from a swatch than after knitting 5 skeins of fingering weight yarn!

  19. Teresa Colon says:

I was so happy to hear the chatter about the importance of swatching and blocking. Once I started doing that simple step, my knitting improved significantly because I was getting the results I wanted!
