What is the Tournament of Stitches?

The Tournament of Stitches make-along is a great way for knitters and crocheters to work alongside each other making something that is similar but not identical.

Over a five week period I will release new sections of the project. If you follow along with the links below you will be able to make each section for each week. At the end of the five weeks you will have a beautiful finished wearable.

When is the Tournament of Stitches 2020?

March 17, 2020 – April 16, 2020 (you must be a part of the Marly’s Minions Facebook Group. More details about that below)

What are we making

In the past we’ve made shawls. This year we are making a scarf that could be turned into an infinity cowl.

Where do I find the Weekly Instructions for the Tournament of Stitches 2020?

My team and I will link to the instruction page for each week in this blog post below (directly below this section, you will see dates that will be highlighted when the instructions have been posted) @ 10 am ET the day of the event.

After further discussion, we decided to release 2 sections a week. One section on Tuesday and another section on Thursday.

You will also get a notification from the FB Group for when we post the instructions for each week AND (we learned this last time) we will have one dedicated thread in the group for each clue in each round.

Having one thread dedicated to each week makes it easier should you have a question, you only need to find that thread in the FB group and ask it. ALL questions, both knit and crochet, will go into each weekly thread. It makes it so much easier to stay organized. You can find the links to where to ask questions further down in this post.

Our top Minion Moderators and testers are watching those threads so they can help you.

    Marly,
I know this is totally unrelated to TOS. I have wanted to make the Bluebonnet Shawl, But can not get started. The side stitch in the very beginning has got me stumped. Could you please provide a small demo of how to do this for me. I would greatly appreciate it. I got the pattern as a free pattern. For some reason though I cannot get the full diagrams.
