Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of yarn do I need for these patterns?

So here’s the thing… you’ll need Red Heart Scrubby yarn, but there are a few different kinds mentioned! There’s the original RED HEART® Scrubby™, RED HEART® Scrubby Sparkle™, RED HEART® Scrubby Smoothie®, and RED HEART® Scrubby Cotton™. Make sure you check which one each specific pattern calls for!

Can I crochet the washcloths?

Honestly… no, the washcloths are knitted patterns. The Textures Stripe Washcloth and the Sailor’s Rib Washcloth both use knitting needles. You’ll need Susan Bates® Knitting Needles for those!

Are all these patterns for crochet?

Yes! Well, mostly. There are six new patterns for the bathroom, and while most are crochet, numbers 3 and 5 (the washcloths) and number 6 (the knit scrubby mitt) are knitting projects. Just be sure to grab the right hook or needles!

How many balls of yarn do I need for the Baseball Scrubby?

For the Crochet Baseball Scrubby, you’ll only need one ball of RED HEART® Scrubby™ in Coconut. It’s a pretty simple project with just one main color needed!

Where can I find the FREE patterns?

You can find the FREE patterns linked right in the post! Just click on the name of the project, like “FREE Crochet Baseball Scrubby Pattern,” and it will take you right to it on Yarnspirations.
