About the Pattern:

The first thing that you may notice when you look at the materials list is that there is both a knitting needle and crochet hook. This patter is a knit pattern but you will use the crochet hook to add the embellishment to the tree with surface crochet. There are only two colors required for this pattern and you will be able to make a few of these with that one ball. Try adding some other colors to decorate your tree or change the color of the garland so that each person you make it for knows which is theirs.

Although the scrubby looks like it is two parts that are sewn together really it is worked as once piece. We will start at the base of the tree with the stem and then I will teach you how to cast on additional stitches on both sides so that you have the start of your tree. Working decreases along the sides we will finish with the tree shape. At the very top we will again cast on more stitches and work some i-cord to create the ring at the top to hang your washcloth/dishcloth.
