Game Day Mystery Make-Along 6pm Knitting Play

Here is the 6pm Knit Game Day Mystery Make-Along 2020 play. If you missed any of the plays, go back to the original blog post and get all the details you need. You must complete each previous part of the mystery project before you can move on to the next.

MEASUREMENT DETAILS

Gauge: 17 sts and 28 rows = 4” (10cm) in Stockinette Stitch. This is a blocked gauge. Gauge isn’t super important for this piece.

MATERIALS

Yarn: Red Heart Yarns, Chic Sheep by Marly Bird™ ,

Sample used 1 ball of each color (finished weight is 188 g)

  • Color A— CA
  • Color B— CB
  • Color C— CC
  • Color D— CD
  • Color E— CE

Needle: Size 9 24” circular

Notions: Stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle, wool wash (optional)

ABBREVIATIONS

M1: Make One (video help)

PM: Place Marker

YO: Yarn Over

K2tog: Knit two together

C4B: cable 4 back — slip 2 sts to the cable needle and hold to the back, knit 2 stitches from left hand needle, then knit the 2 sts from the cable needle. (video help)

C4B-P: cable 4 back purl — slip 2 sts to the cable needle and hold to the back, knit 2 stitches from left hand needle, then purl the 2 sts from the cable needle. 

C4F: cable 4 front — slip 2 sts to the cable needle and hold to the front, knit 2 stitches from left hand needle, then knit the 2 sts from the cable needle. (video help)

C4F-P: cable 4 front purl — slip 2 sts to the cable needle and hold to the front, knit 2 stitches from left hand needle, then purl the 2 sts from the cable needle.

With CA

Round 85: Knit

Round 86: Purl

With CE

Round 87: Knit

Round 88: Purl

Bind off all the stitches. Weave in all ends. Wash and block the piece.
