EDGING ON BASE
With color B and RS facing, *pick up and knit 101 sts along long edge of base, rotate base 90 degrees, pick up and knit 33 sts along short edge of base, rotate base 90 degrees; repeat from * once. Place marker on right hand needle and join to work in the round — 268 sts.
BODY OF BAG
Using the stranding knitting technique (see video help), work in Stockinette St pattern following the chart for the body of the bag through row 39.
NOTES:
- Read the chart from bottom to top, right to left for RS rows.
- The chart represents half of the project, therefore each row of the chart will be worked twice for 1 full round.
- if working with 3 colors along one round is tricky, work the bag in only colors A and B then use duplicate stitch to add color C when bag at the end of lesson two or when entire bag is finished.
- if you want to work with only two colors, follow the two color chart.
- when stranding a color beyond 5-7 sts tuck the float.
