SPECIAL STITCHES
Double Crochet 3 Together (Dc3tog): *Yarn over hook, insert hook into indicated st, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook; repeat from * in next 2 sts, yarn over and draw through all 4 loops on hook.
Double Crochet 2 Together (Dc2tog): *Yarn over hook, insert hook into indicated st, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook; repeat from * in next st, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.
Single Crochet 2 Together (sc2tog): *Insert hook into indicated st, yarn over and pull up a loop; repeat from * in next st, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.
NOTES
- Gauge is not critical in this project. Lace crochet easily can grow depending on how you make your chains. If your project measures larger, it will still be a beautiful project. If Play 2 is between 14-16” in width the final shawl will be great!
- Project is worked on one edge of Play 1 on the bias. You will increase at the beginning of the RS rows and decrease at the end of the WS rows, which will not change your stitch count.

NETFLIX AND CHILL SHAWL PLAY 2 PATTERN

Row 1: (RS) Join yarn to the right corner of your Shawl at the first sc of Play 1 edging with sl st, ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in same st, dc in next 121 dc, dc3tog over next 3 sc (the last leg should end at the top of your triangle), leave remaining sc unworked, turn. – 125 dc.
Row 2: Ch 2, skip first st, dc2tog over next 2 sts, dc in each st across to tch, 3 dc in top of tch, turn.
Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in first dc, dc in each st across to last 3 sts, dc3tog over last 3 sts, turn.
Row 4: Ch 2, skip first st, dc2tog over next 2 sts, dc in each st across to tch, 3 dc in top of tch, turn.
Row 5: (Ch 3, dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in first st (counts as first shell), *skip next 3 sts, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next st (counts as shell); repeat from * across to last 4 sts, skip next 3 sts, dc in last st, turn– 31 shells.
Row 6: Ch 1, *sc in space before next shell, ch 3, dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 3; repeat from * across to tch, (sc, ch 3, tr) in top of tch, turn.
Row 7: (Ch 3, dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in first st, shell in each dc across to last dc, dc in last dc, turn.
Repeat Rows 6-7 8 times, Repeat Row 6 once more
Row 25: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, *ch 3, sc in next dc; repeat across to last dc, ch 2, sc in last dc, turn.
Row 26: Ch 1, sc2tog over first sc and ch-2 sp, sc in ch-2 sp, *sc in next sc, 3 sc in next ch-3 sp; repeat from * across to last 2 sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn, do not fasten off- 125 sc.
(Optional): Pin Play 2 to schematic size, spray with water and allow to dry.
