Round 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch to end of round, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc. Ch 1, turn– 49 sc.
Round 2 (WS): Sc in first sc and in each sc around, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc, ch 20 (becomes the hanging loop), slip stitch again into the 1st sc. Ch 1, turn.
Round 3 (RS): Working in front of the hanging loop, sc in first sc and in each sc around, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc. Ch 1, turn.
Round 4 (WS): Sc in first sc and in each sc around, join with a slip stitch to 1st sc. Ch 1, turn.
