Crochet Love Knots Wrap Free Pattern
Lately, we’ve been swooning over the Solomon’s Knot stitch, also known widely as Love Knots. You create this stitch by pulling up longer loops than usual and using smart hook placement to get a knot-like openwork stitch. The effect is a delicate netting that’s beautiful for crochet clothing and accessories. For example, today, we wanted to share the Red Heart Love Knots and Leaves Pattern, a free crochet love knots wrap pattern for a terrific summer/fall lace wrap.

One, Two, Three Love Knots, Oh My
This Solomon’s Knot crochet pattern is slightly more advanced than some of the other ones we’ve showcased so far. Yes, it still uses the same basic love knots technique. However, in addition to the regular Love Knot (Lk), you’ll also learn to work with the Double Love Knot (dLk) and even the Triple Love Knot (tLk.) This gives you something challenging to play with. The end result is a leaf-inspired textured but lace fabric that is feminine, delicate, and very distinct.

A Seasonal Summer Wrap
This crochet Love Knots Wrap free crochet pattern is designed for summer. It has the open netting that you want to keep your arms warm on a summer evening that just has a little bit of chill in the air. It’s perfect to wear with summer dresses. So many people seem to be getting married right now, so re-use an older dress with this new wrap for any wedding where you’re a guest this year!
That said, you can easily layer this over warmer pieces in both spring and fall. With autumn coming up fast, we definitely want to make pieces we can wear now but still wear later, right? This wrap could work well over long sleeves. Its open design allows the clothing underneath to show through. Therefore, pair it with a brown or mustard long-sleeved top for an autumnal look.
Choosing The Yarn for The Crochet Wrap
When you crochet love knots, you want the yarn to be relatively simple so that what people notice is the stitches. This pattern originally called for Luster Sheen yarn. This is a sport-weight machine-washable acrylic yarn you can machine wash and dry. Unfortunately, Red Heart discontinued this yarn. Fortunately, of course, there are plenty of other great yarns to choose from.
You might want to try:
- Brava Sport, which is also a sport weight, machine washable, acrylic yarn
- Shine Sport, which has some of that “luster sheen” that the original yarn offered thanks to the natural beech wood fiber
- Galileo, which is a wool and acrylic blend for something a little bit more luxurious
- Red Heart It’s a Wrap for an ombre wrap
