The Crochet Dude and Craftsy

The Crochet Dude and Craftsy, from May 13th

Drew shared his excitement for his new class at Craftsy  https://www.craftsy.com/class/amazing-crochet-textures-ribbing-cables-and-beads/4233?_ct=sbqii-sqjuweho-qbb&_ctp=4233,1

Also there’s as extensive The Crochet Dude product line now available at Walmart. (This link is to a search we did on the website:) https://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_constraint=2637&Find=Find&_ta=1&search_query=crochet%20dude&_tt=Crochet%20Dude

Best of Stitches West E-book available from AllFreeKnitting.com https://www.allfreeknitting.com/Knit-Tops/Best-West-STITCHES-Show-Knit-Tops-Free-Shawl-Patterns-More-Vol-3-Free-eBook

Also Drew’s Website: https://drewemborsky.com/ While you’re there check out two of the yarn lines we love and spoke about during the program. Gemstones, which features colorways based on those beloved birthstones we collect. Marly let Sandy from Georgia come on the line and ask questions. Sandy loves the Decades, and asked what Drew’s inspiration was. He said that it’s so disappointing to fall in love with a colorway and have it be discontinued. These colorways just evoked memories we all share of someone’s kitchen or clothing we used to wear. She also asked which were most popular and he said the 90’s the are the most popular, especially the Girl Power colorway. Kim from Alabama called, and asked what was Drew’s Dream location was (Bora Bora!) and how the pets in Drew’s house are doing: Tamaya, his dog, and Cleocatra and Chandler (is a girl!) the cat’s. Drew posts great snapshots of them on Facebook, look for his designer page https://www.facebook.com/thecrochetdude also find him on Ravelry  https://www.ravelry.com/designers/drew-emborsky

PIVOOOOOOOTTTT!!! Seriously y’all made me giggle! Poor Ross got a bad rap though, imo. I’m a bit Ross-ish! *makes little bit sign* 😉 This is the 1st time I have been able to tune into the LIVE show and catch ya Miss Marly!!! I enjoyed the show (even if I was a little tardy) I hope you and Mr. Emborsky have a most wonderful rest of your week! 🙂

It was a great show today with Drew. He’s such a creative guy and he as well as you have caused me to pivot from just reading a pattern to making my own. Thanks for all you guys do!

Drew, you make the world so much lovelier as you pivot your hooks and needles to catch both yarn and dreams.

Enjoyed the podcast. I’m glad to hear Craftsy is adding more crochet classes. I was listening to the podcast out on my walk. When I heard about Drew’s class, I did a quick pivot and came home to sign up for it.

Loved the show. Motivated me to get out and walk the dogs. Yikes, pivot is hard, how about I inted to take Drew’s class and I am sure it will be pivotal in augmenting my knowledge of crochet and will allow me to better pivot between knitting and crocheting in my designs. Thanks for all you do.

Drew is alway an interesting guest. I have signed up for his class but have yet to watch it. Post stitches are my least favorite stitch, hoping Drew’s class will make me feel the love. I am a retired mail carrier now but when I had less than 8 hours of work on my own route I had to pivot to another route to fill in the time.

PIVOT!!! I would be surprised if Drew didn’t have some afghan pattern inspired by the sofa they were trying to take to Ross’s apartment. Thanks for a great show it was great to hear you chat about the new Craftsy class. I signed up right after the show and it is great. Love the beading technique.

I enjoyed listening to this podcast. It was the first interview with Drew that I had heard. Although I am a knitter, I may have to pivot my interests to crochet after hearing this interview.
