Cat Babbie of Red Heart Yarns talks about Soft Essentials on the Yarn Thing podcast with Marly Bird. 

Cat Babbie is the Inspiration Design Specialist and blogs about crafting on the Red Heart Yarns team. She works with designers to help create patterns that inspire stitchers to pick up their yarn. She’s an avid yarn lover; knitting, weaving, and spinning in her spare time.

Cat wishes to share the wonderful list of ideas, patterns that Red Heart Yarns offers, to create with this new yarn line. There is also a new e-book, Soft Essentials Style.

    The Soft Essentials Stripes Pixie Stripe looks just like the yarn my late grandmother (who is the one that taught me to crochet!) made my baby blanket from. I have been looking for a yarn to make a blanket inspired by mine, and I think this is the perfect fit! I wish she was here to share this lovely yarn with. I can’t wait to make it with Michaels!

    I am so excited to view Marly’s tutorial for the shawl made with Red Heart Essentials. I will be visiting Michael’s to pick up the yarn as soon as the roads are drivable. I always Make it with Michaels. It’s my favorite place to shop.

    Enjoyed the podcast so much that I stopped off at Michael’s. Making it right with Michaels and brought Redheart Soft Essentials to get a start on the beautiful sweater that was shown. Downloaded the pattern, got the yarn, now just need some time to get started.
