About Briana:
I am Briana, I design fun stuff in both knit and crochet.
My crochet journey (I like to imagine myself hiking through mountains with a backpack full of yarn) began with wanting to make something for my unborn child. Unfortunately when my mom was re-teaching me I went into labor and she finished my project.
A few months later I learned to make my first hat, a lopsided horrible looking Mickey Mouse hat. But, eventually it clicked and the passion only has grown. I’ve found a love for knitting, felting, and spinning (even though I’m still not great at that).
In early 2014 I changed my Etsy shop from selling physical items to patterns. I find I need constant stimulation and making the same item over and over was killing my passion. Now I’m designing all the time and love it!!!
I never even know what I will do next, but this year I’ve opportunity to create a stunning and new technique for the crochet world. I will always be a constant learner and love getting my hands on new stitches. The fiber arts world is so inspiring!!!

Carol Walker says:
Netflix and yarn are a wonderful combination. It’s a big reason I weave different colored yarn through my work so I don’t have to keep counting rows. Of course, half the time, I have to back up to actually ‘watch’ a scene, but splitting my focus like that is no worse than when I get distracted by something shiny and wander off.
pamela diane mooney says:
I just wanted to show you how much done on motifs guess you passed me way up so dont matter

Hi Marly, this is my first time listening to your podcast (I’m a week old podcast convert), it was great! It was also riveting listening to Briana and learning about infinity crochet (Frustrating cos I had to wait to finish my car journey to look it up and see what it looked like). It looks stunning and having something that makes cables easier while watching Netflix is just what I need. Its also fascinating to see fundamental new developments in such classic crafts as crochet still happening. Thanks – from a future regular listener
