Exciting news! I just released a NEW crochet skill builder class with Annie’s. In this class I will show you how to make this unique shawl that uses different textures and stitches to grow your skills as a crocheter. This project is great for beginners looking to learn something new, or experienced crocheters looking for a different way to approach making a shawl.

About the Crochet Shawl Class:
Annie’s ask me to design a shawl for a skill building crochet-along on their website. I thought long and hard about how I could build your crochet skills along the way while making a unique and beautiful shawl. After some thinking the Chic Crochet Shawl was born.
If you don’t know what a crochet-along is let me tell you. A crochet-along is when a group of people all get together and work on the same project together. Everyone in your class will be working on the same project and you will be able to share what you are working on, your pain points, and your findings along the way.
This crochet shawl pattern features eight stitch patterns, five yarn colors and a fun edging technique to complete a 90-degree asymmetrical shawl. Throughout this class I will show you how to work each of the stitch patterns found in this shawl and how to account for gauge changes along the way. While taking the class you will also learn how to finish the shawl, block it, and even how to style it.
What you’ll learn:
- Anticipate gauge changes in the pattern
- Crochet the corner to corner stitch
- Work increases and decreases
- Change colors
