Anne Bean, a life-long knitter, switched to working in the fiber arts industry after burning out as a teacher. But before that she discovered the Yarn Harlot’s blog (as many of us have) and got very interested in Ravelry. Through Ravelry, she connected with other knitters in her neck of the woods and what started as a one-time gathering of 27 people has turned into the Arkansas Fiber Arts Extravaganza.
The Extravaganza offers something for almost any fiber enthusiast including knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers and more. It is held December 5th to the 7th at the Hot Springs Convention Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This year’s Keynote speaker and featured teacher is Sally Melville. There is an exhibit hall with various vendors displaying their wears, classes on all manner of fiber related things, and fashion shows. While preregistration on-line is closed for this years Extravaganza, you can still buy tickets at the door, so don’t miss out! You can find all the information about the Extravaganza on their website ARfiberartsextravaganza.org.
And we won’t forget the Giveaway! Leave a comment on the shownotes below that includes Anne’s keyword and you will be entered to win registration for the Arkansas Fiber Arts Extravaganza! A great value so don’t forget to comment!
