TILTED BLOCKS SHAWL PATTERN
Body
Using long tail method, cast on 7 sts.
Row 1(RS): K2, *k1, yo, rep from * to last 3 sts, k3– 9 sts.
Row 2 (WS): Knit.
Row 3: K3, yo, k to last 3 sts, yo, k3– 11 sts.
Row 4: Knit.
Row 5: K2, *(k1, yo) twice, pm, rep from * once more, (k1, yo) twice, k3– 17 sts.
Rows 6-8: Knit.
Row 9 (RS): K3, yo, *k to marker, yo, sm, k1, yo, rep. from * once more, k to last 3 sts, yo k3– 23 sts (6 sts increased).
Repeat rows 6-9 until there are 311 sts (205 rows total) ending after Row 8 (WS).
Border
Tilted Blocks Border and Garter Edging [Multiple of 16+1 (plus 6 for garter stitch edge)]
Rows 1, 3, 5, and 7 (RS): K3, *[ssk, yo] 4 times, k8, repeat from * to last 4 sts, k4.
Rows 2, 4, 6, and 8: K3, *k9, p7, repeat from * to last 4 sts, k4.
Rows 9, 11, 13, and 15: K4, *k8, [yo, k2tog] 4 times, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k3.
Rows 10, 12, 14, and 16: K4, *p7, k9, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k3.
Repeat Rows 1-16 three times more.
Next 4 rows: Knit
Bind off loosely.
