About the Book

Body measurements and how to accommodate them seems to be the part of garment design that beginner designers struggle with the most. It is always a shame to see a beautiful crochet or knit design that just doesn’t work out because the designer didn’t understand how to adapt it to fit different sizes of bodies.

NOTE: This is NOT a book about grading.

Through out this book you will learn what the main body measurements are you you will need to know about. Learn what this measurement does for a design and how to take the measurement. Measurements that you collect along the way will be used to determine how bug or small to make different parts of the garment. Along the way, you will find tips to help you perfect your garment designs.

Did you know that there is a difference between a body measurement and a garment measurement? A body measurement is a measurement taken from a human body. A garment measurement is a measurement taken from a garment like a shirt, sweater, or vest. Learn more about this and more in this book.
