Materials

Yarn: Any worsted weight yarn that gets you gauge.

Yarn used in Sample: Berroco, “Lustra” (50% wool, 50% tencel), 197 yds (100g): 1 hank #3182

Needle: Size 9/5.5mm or size required for gauge

Notions: Removable markers, yarn needle, 6 – 1/2″ buttons, matching sewing thread and needle.

SPECIAL STITCHES

⭐️ Seed Stitch: with an even number of stitches, *K1, p1; repeat from * for stitch pattern.

⭐️ Stockinette Stitch (flat): RS: Knit. WS: Purl

⭐️ Knit 2 Together (k2tog): insert right hand needle into the first two stitches on the left hand needle at the same time as if to knit, now proceed as if to knit like normal. You worked into two stitches and make them into one thus decreasing one stitch.

⭐️ Yarn Over (YO): move the working yarn from the back of the right hand needle to the front between the needles then over top the right hand needle back to the back. This will look like an extra loop on your right hand needle and that is what you want. If the next stitch you need to do is a knit, go ahead and knit, if the next stitch you need to do is a purl, you will need to bring the yarn to the front again between the needles before purling.
