About Yarn Valet:

Yarn Valet is a small family run business that has been making crafty items for almost 30 years. They started out making a line of hardwood needlework scroll frames out of their garage. Over the years they expanded into kids crafting kits and custom wood products for private labels.

Yarn Valet is a line of tools that are a solution to issues that plague every stitches. Yarn Valet tools are lightweight and stylish. Their goal is to help us all stay organized and be efficient while working on our projects.

Best of all this is a company that has a big heart. Yarn Valet supports a work center forย individuals with intellectual disabilities. All products are assembled, packaged and fulfilled by individuals with intellectual disabilities in the USA.

Yarn Valet Product Line:

The Yarn Valet product line is small compared to some companies but they make quality products that we really need. In their collection you will find six products.

  • Yarn Dispenser: “twirls” the skein or ball and lets the yarn release at just the perfect tension. Additional features include a 4″in/cm gauge rulers, stitch marker holders and a pattern holder slot, just for fun.
  • Yarn Bowl:ย The rubberizedย ring keeps the bowl from slipping while the yarn flowsย through the darling scalloped yarn director. There is also a skein hole for your larger fibers and skeins. Keep your beautiful yarn out on display.
  • Pattern Holder Plus Storage:ย Our Pattern Holder Plus Storage™ is our solution to this problem!ย Paper patterns are rolled into the clear tube and end caps snapped into place.ย The clear tube compartment can hold a small project or lots and lots of notions!!
  • Yarn Ball Winder:ย a stick used to wind yarn into a uniform, consistent ball. No need for those expensive yarn ball winders- it is so easy to use! Look for the secret compartment that can hold anything.
  • Yarn Keys:ย We know how important the yarn label is. Most of the time however, they end up thrown away or lost at the bottom of our bags. Our yarnKeys™ are designed to fit onto your yarn and attach the tag so you will never lose it again.
  • Stitchers GPS:ย It is a set of specially designed, heavy-duty markingย tape strips, created to help you never get lost again. ย Just peel and stick to pattern, it can easily be moved and reused over and over again.

I’m a (yarn) thing collector too!!! I would totally love to have the pattern holder/storage and combine the stitcher’s GPS. I was actually pondering the idea before Amy Evans suggested it! What can I say, except, great minds think alike!

I’m in love with Yarn Valet! I need to get their fabulous products to get my yarn and patterns under control! LoL. I can’t seem to ever find my tag for the yarn I am working with. I have trouble with winding my own yarn. I have a cool yarn bowl that my husband painted for me with an owl, but I know I could or would brake it so I don’t use it. I like that Yarn Valet’s yarn bowl won’t break and it’s light weight. I would use it a ton! I also loose my place when I’m crocheting. So the more help the better! I also tend to find my patterns all folded up and corners messed up, so could use the GPS and the pattern holder!
It’s the one area of my life I can’t organize! So help me out Marly Bird and Yarn Valet!

Yarn Valet, I have the dispenser, love love love it. I take it to clubs and Kareoke, Library. I’m always getting ask where did I get that? I never figured out how that spot in the front holds the pattern.

But I have a question? Is it possible that u can make a dual dispenser, for when I’m using 2 yarns? Right now I have to take it apart and use the 2 individuals like that and then I get frustrated and just take all the yarn off n lay the yarn down.

Yarn Valet! What great products. I would use all of them. I would start by re-organizing my fair isle knitting into the Pattern holder/Storage because everything comes with it that a Fair Isle knitter needs to keep the project organized. Then I would, of course, use the winder and the bowl….but best of all, I would use the keys to keep all of the yarn info with each ball that I wound on the winder.

Yarn Valet is so inspirational! While helping us with tools to make stitching life easier, I love their philosophy in helping the community with work/employment. My Aunty was one such worker who worked hard and loved going to work everyday because it gave her life meaning and she was needed. She had difficulty smiling, but in her heart, she was smiling all the time.

I am so grateful I saw this podcast for my first time. I really love and need this yarn bowl. Last month while helping my daughter when her 3rd baby arrived, she made me a DIY yarn bowl out of an empty plastic milk jug. It kinda worked, but it rolled around so much. I had to wedge it between table and chair legs or in a bag. It served it’s purpose and I was able to make mittens, beanies, and scarves for my Gbabies. Boy! It was super cold in New Mexico.

Thank you for your podcast. Am glad I caught it. Yarn Valet sounds like a great company.

    Blessings,
    Karen

OMG, I can’t pick just 1. I guess I’d start with the pattern keeper & the GPS, I’ve been using page protecters, and dry erase markers to keep track of where I am on my pattern, and any draft or breeze can send it to the floor. The yarn bowl, and or the despinser would be awesome, even when working on a project while in bed. A valet takes care of a person needs. So I just luv their name. I would love each product you discussed on the pod cast. Mostly the yarn bowl because you can remove yarn without cutting. I hate dealing with ends. Pass on, please make something to keep me from losing my crochet hook when I put down a project. Maybe a stitch marker with something to hold the hook also? I loved hearing about the Yarn Valet business and very helpful products. The ceramic bowls are gorgeous, but they are expensive, heavy, and breakable. I particularly love the knitterโ€™s gps and the keys. I have been working on organizing my yarn stash, and the lost labels or labels that I am not sure which yarn cake they belong to can be very frustrating. There are so many times I have put down my knitting or crocheting expecting to get back to it very soon and remember where I was, but I donโ€™t remember. I am trying to get better with notes, but the gps could be really helpful. I also like that you have thought of details like being able to attach stitch markers for easy reach. Could that feature be added to the yarn bowl? Thanks for the giveaway!

The yarn valet key tags would be a perfect addition to my supplies cuz no matter how hard try to keep the label with the ball, it magically goes and hangs out with everything Iโ€™ve lost. Love this new format!!

I have used my Yarn Valet yarn all the time bowl and love it. I am very excited about all their other products. But if I had to pick one it would be the yarn dispenser. Thanks for a great podcast.

I loved this episode! I was so happy to see how inexpensive the products were, I could see the uniqueness and true usefulness of each product, vs. making a product that’s the same as many other products out there. I loved Yarn Valet and shared it with my husband. He bought me the Yarn Valet Yarn Bowl as a surprise because he never sees me get geeked out on these products! I am using it every day and love the quality of it. Thank you and can’t wait to see what else you come out with!! ~ Tracey

Thank you for having Yarn Valet on the podcast! I feel like I’ve heard another episode in the past with Yarn Valet but maybe I just came across them before. I would love to try the yarn bowl, yarn holder and yarn winder! What great products!

I loved learning about the yarn valet. The yarn keys would be very helpful and are a great idea. I have tried several ways to keep track or the yarn info, but inevitably they get lost.

Hi!!! I want to win ! Yarn Valet! I am new to knitting as of January 2018! Ive tried before but that was before YouTube. Now I’m learning and I live very rural area with only big box stores within 30 minutes and big craft stores an hour away but I want to knit with the yarn that in the magazines! This would be a big help to my success! Loved the podcast and was excited to take in all I can about. Learning to knit. Modern technology but we still need basics!

I bought my first yarn valet product after watching this podcast, the stitcher’s GPS. Would probably end up buying a couple yarn bowls too. Great prices on all the products.

the Yarn Valet item I’m eyeing is the yarn bowl. I love using yarn bowls but now that i have a baby who’s about to be on the move, a more durable one would be awesome!

Holy cow! 151 comments. Hoping I’m not too late but I’ve had a crazy schedule too. I’m most excited about the yarn dispenser and the yarn storage where I can keep my pattern handy. During the show I went on Amazon and added all of the products onto my wish list. Hoping hubby or kids get the hint. If not I will treat myself soon! Thanks for another great podcast.
