About Erin Lane Bags:

Before you listen to this episode lets talk about the beginning of Erin.Lane bags and where it has gone. Erin.Lane began out of a simple principle: Necessity is the mother of all invention.

Lindsey learned to knit from her Aunt Jan. Jan had owned a yarn store in Michigan for 23 years and taught everyone in the family how to knit. Of course Lindsey picked it up in about an hour and was soon thereafter hooked.

Lindsey’s aunt set her up with some amazing tools and yarn to get her started on her journey. During her start Lindsey lost 4 pairs of the needles her aunt bought her and she knew it would take months to get them replaced. She knew that she had to do something to keep the tools that she had in a safe spot. So, she went to her mom, a master seamstress of 40+ years to ask her if she could help fix this problem.

After tinkering around they finally came up with a great design. At their next knitting group night everyone wanted one and like lightning Erin.Lane was born.
