Crochet Subscription Boxes
Over the past year I have been sharing with you various options for knit, crochet, yarn and hook subscription boxes. I have enjoyed sharing each one with you and learning about new companies right along with you. Annie’s is a wonderful company that I have had the chance to work with and today I want to share with you their three kit club options in the knit and crochet world, including their special crochet subscription box Annie’s Caring Crochet Kit Club.
Why A Subscription Box:
A subscription box is a box of goodies that show up at your house typically each month. There are a variety of options available for you and you can see all of the ones that we have reviewed so far with our LIVE reviews.
There are many reasons that you might choose to subscribe to a subscription box. Here are my top three reason.

- Great in between project
- Making for others
Get out of your comfort zone:
Subscriptions boxes are great for getting out of a rut. When a new box shows up at your door it might be a pattern or yarn or color that you might not have selected yourself but you end up falling in love with. They push you outside of your comfort zone and get you try to try new things.
Pick a box that works for you when it comes to options. Some boxes provide the same items for each person in the subscription. Others let you select what general color pallet that you are interested in. Find the one that pushes you just enough with out making you not want to make the projects.
Great in between projects:
Sometimes when you are working on a big project you want something small so that you can feel accomplished. Most subscription boxes are set up that you can complete the pattern included within a month. They do this so that you can do the project in the box and then be ready for the next month.
Along with being a project to complete quickly you can also use them when you aren’t sure what to work on next. Since the yarn and the pattern are already together you don’t have to think about getting anything together.
Making for others:
Personally I like subscription boxes for making projects for others. This is a great option when you are making for charity or as gifts. Since you know something will be coming each month and that they will be a quicker project you can use these to make a stash for gift giving.

Today I am going to focus on the Annie’s Subscription boxes and what your options are. Annie’s currently offers 3 different knit and crochet subscription boxes. They also offer other craft boxes that are worth checking out as well.

Annie’s began in 1975 and quickly became known for the originality of its designs, and as a favorite source for creative inspiration and supplies.
Annie’s is not just knitting and crochet patterns and materials. They also offer magazines, books, kits, online videos, patterns, digital content, supplies, TV programming and more. Annie’s is part of a third-generation, family-owned group of businesses based in northeastern Indiana, having roots tracing back to 1925 with the founding of a small printing company.
I love how they have the small town feel but are a large company. All of the projects that I have worked on with Annie’s have been wonderful experiences. Most recently I worked with Annie’s for a Shawl CAL.
Crochet Afghan of the Month Club:
Annie’s Crochet Afghan Block-of-the-Month Club is a monthly subscription that includes all the yarn, patterns, and video tutorials you need to make an heirloom-quality afghan.
What I love about all of Annie’s subscriptions is that your kit includes the tools that you need and your first kit has a refresher for all of the basics.
With this subscription you’ll receive a total of 11 monthly kits. This particular subscription is only for one year, making one blanket. If you love it you can then subscribe for the following year.
As kits progress, you’ll build your skills to more involved stitch patterns. NOTE: This kit comes in two color options.
Hook & Needle Kit Club:
Annie’s Hook & Needle Kit Club is a subscription to receive all the yarn and patterns to KNIT or CROCHET a new project each month. Each month the pattern will be available in a knit and a crochet version. You get to choose which craft you would like to make for that month.
Simple step-by-step instructions will guide you from start to finish, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned stitcher. You’ll learn several new stitches while making all sorts of fast, fun and easy-to-complete projects.
Caring Crochet Kit Club:
Annie’s Caring Crochet Kit Club is a monthly kit subscription that includes all the instructions, patterns, and yarn you need to make projects like chemo caps for cancer patients, blankets for seriously ill and traumatized children, and many more.
Each month’s project will highlight a special cause or popular charity that will pass your handmade gift along to someone in need if you choose to donate it.
Although each pattern is designed for a particular organization in mind you don’t need to send it there. Keep the project for yourself if you love it, send it to the organization featured or take it somewhere local to donate. The point of this kit club is thinking about others and using your talents to provide warmth, happiness, and joy for others.

Since you are highlighting them, will you be giving an offer code off the first order?
So far I have gotten the first kit for the Sand color crochet afghan. I would like to know if the Coastal gray crochet afghan is the same patterns. People have posted in other sights that Annie’s won’t offer a discount to order the gray yarn if they are the same patterns that would really frustrate me. I really liked both of them and would like to do them both but it doesn’t make sense for me to pay for the patterns and tools, etc. a second time.
