Making the Crochet Cable Hooded Cowl:

Crochet cables sometimes seem intimidating. As with most things in crochet it is all about where you put your hook.

Typically crochet cables are made by using front post and back post stitches to raise them from the body of work. There are other ways to make crochet cables, like the Infinity Crochet Method by my friend Briana K Designs. Inside this FREE pattern from Red Heart we will be using front post and back post stitches to make our cables.

When working a crochet cable pattern it can be hard to know exactly where to put your hook. Using a video is a great tool to learn this technique because you can see exactly where I put my hook and rewatch the parts that you need to go slower at.

Grab your yarn (Red Heart Hygge Charm), your hook, the FREE pattern and your stitch markers and we can learn crochet cables together!
