Crochet Chat with Rohn Strong

Crochet can be a hobby, it can be a passion, it can be a job and it can be a charity. Using our skills to give back to others is such a blessing. Rohn has been a crochet designer and teacher for a while, but he has been a crafter since he was a child. His newest adventure is a partnership with Debbie Macomber and World Vision for a great new program.

About Rohn

The summer of Rohn’s eighth grade year he discovered this channel on television called HGTV. He was a 15-year-old boy who wanted to spend his life crafting.

After dropping out of college in 2007 Rohn discovered knitting the next summer. It was the first time he felt like himself. It was when he knew he’d make a living doing this crafting thing.

Rohn takes a simplified approach to DIY, showing you how to complete the thing you want in as few steps as possible. That way, you can succeed.

  5. Danika says:

I enjoyed the show! It is nice to see creative people just keeping it real! I would like to know how you go from learning to crotchet to crocheting comfortably to having the skill to make patters and knowing how you can blob the stitches together to create whats in your head. I like the idea of blessing both the person who gets what you make and yourself. I have made and given away more than four things at the moment and I am working on more projects for other people. I get the peace of mind due to being able to crotchet and I hope they get the blessings due to having a nice comforting crotchet creation. (alliteration! 😀 ) Blessings to y’all. I would like to win because I am really working hard on my crotchet skills.

  6. Rachel King says:
